Business English courses usually focus on the following:

Business communication skills
The focus is on successful, rather than necessarily accurate, communication, and on the activation of the language which the students already have. The communication skills and situations which most often recur in BE courses are meetings, negotiations, presentations, telephoning and socializing.

Business context quite often the aim of a BE course will be the teaching of some content, together with the language typically used to express that content.

Business English materials there are a number of BE textbooks available. You can find links to online sites for textbooks. Our courses are often supplemented with authentic texts or materials put together by the teacher. These might include:

Letters, memos, faxes, email messages. Students can look for certain features, or they can be contrasted etc.

Company reports or other company documentation that is often downloadable from company websites. These can be used for comprehension work, for language analysis work or as the basis of simulations.

The Economist or other business magazines or newspapers. They often have useful graphs and other visuals, which can be used for information transfer activities. Case studies are often used.
